(ABM FN-Dow Jones) Galapagos heeft met de resultaten van het Saphira Fase 2 onderzoek laten zien dat GLPG1837 het eerste nieuwe medicijn is sinds Kalydeco die concurrerende resultaten bij patiënten laat zien tegen taaislijmziekte. Dit schreef analist Michaël Vlemmix van KBC Securities woensdag in reactie op de publicatie van de testresultaten dinsdag nabeurs.
Galapagos concludeerde in de publicatie dat het medicijn zijn veiligheid en significante werkzaamheid heeft laten zien als nieuwe CFTR potentiator.
De analist wees erop dat de biofarmaceut een reeks potentiators in ontwikkeling heeft.
KBC Securities handhaafde het koopadvies voor Galapagos met een koersdoel van 70,00 euro. Het aandeel noteerde woensdag kort na de openingsgong op een rode beurs 2,5 procent hoger op 59,88 euro.
