De centrale bank van Brazilië maakte bekend dat de economie met maar liefst 10,9% is gegroeid in de maand april! Via Reuters: Brazil’s economy expanded nearly 11 percent in April compared to the same month a year ago, a central bank indicator showed on Wednesday. The central bank’s Brazilian Economic Activity Index pointed to growth of 10.86 percent in April compared to April 2009. The index rose 0.27 percent in April from March. Brazil’s economy has been among the fastest-growing in the world this year, expanding 9 percent year-on-year in the first quarter of 2010. Government officials have downplayed the risk of overheating but some say such rapid growth in an economy which suffers from chronic lack of infrastructure and skilled labor force could be unsustainable and inflationary.
