De Spaanse banken zijn niet levensvatbaar meer, zoveel is duidelijk als we de jongste berichten lezen over de toenemende liquiditeitsinjecties van de ECB. Via WSJ:
MADRID—-Spain’s banks sharply increased their borrowings from the European Central Bank in March as lenders flocked to its three-year tender to secure funding amid heightened tensions in financial markets. According to data released Friday by the Bank of Spain, gross borrowings stood at €316.3 billion ($417.1 billion) in March, up from €169.86 billion in February. The March figure represents almost 28% of the gross borrowings by all euro-zone lenders, which last month stood at €1.138 trillion. Spanish banks have in recent months relied increasingly on funding from the ECB as investors in the private sector remain wary of lending to banks in the fiscally frail southern European economies.
